Itakane Trading 156 (Pty) Ltd, trading as Itakane Real Estate Academy, is an established South African training

institution dedicated to the professional education, development, and qualification of Property Practitioners within the regulated real estate sector.

Founded in 2007 by the late Pieter Swart, the academy was created with the vision of strengthening the standards of

education and professionalism in South Africa’s property industry. Recognising the growing need for structured,

industry-relevant training, Pieter established Itakane as a platform where aspiring and experienced property

professionals could gain both theoretical knowledge and practical competence required to operate successfully in a

regulated real estate environment.

From its inception, Itakane has been grounded in integrity, structured learning, and continuous professional

development. Over the years, the academy has successfully trained more than 6,000 real estate professionals across

South Africa, supporting learners throughout every stage of their professional qualification journey.

Today, the academy continues to build on this foundation under the leadership of Amanda Alettza Susanna Marinus,

Chief Executive Officer and Director.
